As the Founder and CEO of Kind Hospitality, Nava Singam is responsible for developing and overseeing all aspects of one of Arizona’s most notable hospitality groups. In this role, Nava provides leadership to a distinctly varied portfolio of brands and specialties, and positions the company at the forefront of the restaurant and hospitality industry. His thoughtful, strategic planning and passion for serving others has advanced the company’s mission and growth objectives and continues to promote revenue, profitability and growth year-over-year.

Over the course of the last 14 years, Nava’s thoughtful yet bold approach to growth has taken the company from one location to over 25 in three states, and has added more than 900 employees to the Kind Hospitality payroll. His keen attention to detail and frequent check-ins with each restaurant in the Kind Hospitality portfolio ensure delivery of the highest levels of service, along with great consideration to cost effectiveness, efficiency, and of course, quality. His highly regarded reputation most recently earned him an induction into the W.A. Franke College of Business Hall of Fame at Northern Arizona University.

Nava is also very proud to be involved with his local community and is currently a member of the Support Sky Harbor Coalition Leadership Circle. Previously, Nava sat on the Board of Directors for Child Crisis Center of Arizona from 2015-2017.

Brian Durette

Brian Durette leads KIND’s internal accounting department, but he’s also the first team member to step up when other tasks are in need of completion.

Whether navigating through complex accounting issues or helping with repairs around the office, Brian serves as living proof of the strength in numbers and the true power of a cohesive team.

A graduate of Arizona State University, Brian spent several years in public accounting, during which time he continued his schooling and received a Master in Taxation from Arizona State University. In 2013, Brian brought his experience and skills to the KIND team.

Brian is a successful problem-solver and an avid outdoorsman who’s always ready for a climb, be it up the corporate ladder or the tallest peak in the lower 48.

After trading in her snowboard and snow-covered mountain tops for The Sonoran Desert, Ali Cowl joined our accounting team as a staff accountant, with 8 years of food service and management experience.

Since graduating from the University of Washington with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting, Ali quickly proved to be a trustworthy and reliable asset to Kind Hospitality Inc. She was promoted to Kind’s Controller and took on a progressively responsible role with our team of financial accountants and manages the accounting operations of the company, while ensuring accuracy in state and federal tax forms and the paychecks of our valuable employees.

A dedicated and business savvy leader in airport hospitality and operations, Derek Boettcher brings more than three decades of hospitality and service industry experience to the Kind Hospitality team.

As our Senior VP of Operations, Derek lends support to the organization’s management team from a corporate level; providing insight, guidance and high-level decision making for the company’s 25 restaurant venues in Phoenix, Tucson, Dallas and Charlotte.

Named “Business Person of the Year” by the Arizona OIC in 2013, Derek’s reputation in the industry and Phoenix business community truly speaks for itself.

Sarah Ledesma

District Manager, Panera Tucson

Sarah’s caring and passionate nature, along with over 15 years’ experience in restaurant hospitality, made her the ideal employee to promote (on more than one occasion). Sarah started as an Assistant Manager trainee and was promoted to a General Manager and then promoted again to our District Manager over the entire Tucson Market for Panera Bread.

Her motto of “great food and great experiences come from the heart” is demonstrated in each of her employee and client interactions. She has taken the kindness and mentorship shown to her over the years and used those skills to help mentor new employees and managers within our brand and to
remodel the University of Arizona Panera location to make it the most lucrative store in the Tucson market.

A compassionate and respectable leader in airport hospitality, Charles graduated with a degree in Business in 1998. He has been managing restaurants for 2 decades and joined Kind Hospitality Inc as a Director of Operations in May 2018.
When he is not in our restaurants motivating and guiding employees to the Warmth of Panera Bread, he takes time to read and spend time outdoors.

When Kevin met Nava, he was inspired by Nava’s vision for growth and opportunity and to bring quality ingredients and meals to travelers and to grow the company.

With over 3 decades of experience mentoring employees in a quick service restaurant business he has worked each position within the restaurant, from cashiering to managing and operating multiple units. Kevin Wells is a results-oriented Director of Operations, who obtained an award of High-Volume Restaurant of the Year at DFW Airport as well as The White Glove Award, Third Time Winner for Outstanding Cleanliness & Customer Service from DFW Airport Concessions.

Jim is an experienced restaurant leader and professional with over 35 years’ experience in the restaurant business. He’s had 19 years multi-unit management experience with a keen eye on financial results with a guest first focus mentality.

Jim spent 25 years with Macayo Restaurants before Kind Hospitality acquisition in February 2019 and was excited about the opportunity to continue with a leadership role in Macayo’s as Director Of Operations and bring the brand back to the top of the market in Mexican Food.

Ashley Negron is the Director of Operations & Brand Management at Kind Hospitality Inc. With over 10 years of experience in the industry, Ashley currently oversees training, brand management, marketing and promotions to showcase Macayo’s signature family recipes.

Whether she’s climbing mountains or securing new billboards to bring recognition and status to the Macayo brand, attracting Mexican food lovers throughout the valley of the sun, her genuine and creative nature shines through.

Her passionate side is often shown while out supporting our local community or rooting on her hometown Chicago teams.

Janet Diodato

Human Resources Manager

Janet Diodato has been employed at Kind Hospitality Inc as Human Resources Manager since 2019. Having worked mostly in the areas of benefits and compensation for small business, she is very familiar with multi-state payroll, labor laws and policies and procedures. She is particularly experienced in the areas of OSHA standards and workman’s compensation.

Janet has formed connections with the community through Umom, Maximus, and the Department of Economic Security to enhance awareness of the underserved and has built bridges for new employment opportunities to the community. Janet has earned 2 degrees in General Business and Computer Information Systems and is furthering her education in Business Administration with a specialization in Human Resources.
